G-Force, the renowned dance group founded by celebrity choreographer Georcelle “Teacher Georcelle” Dapat-Sy, celebrated its 20th anniversary with a spectacular concert titled “G-Force Project 2025” on June 11 at the Mall of Asia Arena. The event brought together hundreds of performers, including well-known celebrities such as Maja Salvador and Cassy Legaspi, who have both been mentored by Teacher Georcelle.
The concert showcased a variety of dance performances, featuring international choreographers Ben Tovale and Laurence Kaiwai, as well as G-Force teachers and over 700 students from the four G-Force Dance Centers. With over 30 dance production numbers spanning different genres, the show captivated the audience of nearly 2,000 attendees, with dancers ranging from as young as 4 years old to as mature as 71.
The highlight of the concert was when all the performers came together on stage to dance to the song “I’m G,” with the audience joining in by following the choreography from their seats. Among the spectators were news anchor Iya Villania, TV host Drew Arellano, and social media sensation Niana Guerrero, who all showed their support for the talented performers.
Maja Salvador, who first learned dance moves from Teacher Georcelle as a teenager, expressed her excitement at being part of the event. She shared, “I am happy that whenever there is a G-Force Project, we are invited. I can’t say no to them.” The concert’s success left Teacher Georcelle overjoyed, as she reflected on the journey of G-Force over the past two decades.
“It’s a humbling and deeply fulfilling experience,” she remarked. “What started as a movement has evolved into a national force, not just in dance but also in culture. I’ve come to realize that consistency in passion and purpose creates a lasting legacy. G-Force has become a platform for transformation – of lives, careers, and mindsets.”
Looking ahead, G-Force is set to embark on new initiatives, including a dance retreat, a workshop series in Canada, and another dance concert at The Theatre at Solaire on July 20. Teacher Georcelle emphasized that G-Force will continue to be a cultural movement, incorporating technology, wellness, and global collaborations while remaining focused on empowering individuals to move with purpose and confidence.
As Teacher Georcelle summed it up, “G-Force will always be about people – guiding the next generation to dance not just with rhythm, but with intention.” The legacy of G-Force as a transformative force in the world of dance and culture continues to grow, thanks to the dedication and vision of its founder and the talented performers who bring its mission to life.
In conclusion, the 20th-anniversary concert of G-Force was a testament to the group’s enduring impact and influence in the dance community, showcasing the power of passion, discipline, and creativity to inspire and uplift generations of dancers to come.
